A test which provides insight into the body’s physiology, how the body works, and an opportunity for prevention, seems too good to be true. But that test already is in existence….known by the name Thermography. Thermography measures body temperatures which can indicate many health issues years before other tests. In a recent study of breast health, thermography’s marks for sensitivity were 97%. Thermography simply measures, with incredible precision, one’s body temperatures as it takes a thermal image, and the advantage of no side effects.
Dr. Christiane Northrup states, “instead of just screening for breast cancer, a thermogram can tell you how healthy your breasts are. It also has the potential to truly detect breast cell anomalies long before mammography can detect cancer, when done properly. This allows you to implement lifestyle changes that can improve the health of your breasts proactively instead of waiting for a cancer diagnosis later. In honor of Breast Health Awareness Month, I encourage you to check out thermography for yourself and your loved ones.”
Thermography is appropriate for women of all ages, even younger women, who are increasingly getting breast cancer. Many women also have breast implants that can be damaged or hard to image with mammograms.
Studies tell us that for a tumor to be detected in a mammogram, it has to have been growing for about seven years. Dr. Northrup writes, “with thermography as your regular screening tool, it’s likely that you would have the opportunity to make adjustments to your diet, beliefs and lifestyle to transform your cells before they became cancerous. Talk about true prevention.”
